One night near the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic while self-isolating, I couldn’t sleep. I was filled with anxiety and dread. I turned on my phone and began recording the sound of my fingers scratching the sheets. As I began processing the sounds, I decided to ask other artists contribute recordings made from their beds as well, in any approach they wanted. The tracks here are sequenced in order they were received and range from noise, free improvisation, acoustic and electronic sounds.

This project began during the Covid-19 pandemic and continued through the murder of George Floyd and the reemergence of the Black Lives Matter movement into the mainstream and widespread protests of police violence. From weeks spent mostly in bed in the dark to being tear gassed in the streets alongside others by the Seattle and Bellevue Police Department.
